MADE BY HAND

The beauty of Susan’s jewellery comes from the qualities and varieties of the materials used along with the hand crafted techniques that makes Elevee jewellery unique.

Susan first designs the shapes of the pieces around the gems used then the materials are chosen by the colour of the semi precious stones and Swarovski crystals and matched to fine nappa leathers in colour and texture. The stones are secured to the leather using bead embroidery techniques from layering fine beads around the stones to stabilize them in place then rows of decorative beads are layered over and over. The leather and backing are then joined with a row of beads that allow the beaded sections to be assembled together and fringing is used to decorate the edges, depending on the design and placement.
